Cheesy Potato Bombs

Cheese and potatoes were meant to be together and these cheesy potato bombs take mashed potatoes to a whole new level.

They are the perfect savory side dish and work well as party food too.

I mean, mashed potatoes are delicious, but they don’t generally don’t work well as an appetizer.

Cheesy Potato Bombs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 Cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ Cup flour
  • ½ Cup shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions to make Cheesy Potato Bombs:

Give leftover mashed potatoes a new lease on life with this cheesy potato bombs recipe.

Start by making your favorite mashed potato recipe. After your mashed taters are ready, then preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Add the mashed potatoes, butter, salt, and pepper to a bowl and mix well.

Mix the ingredients well and start rolling out your potato balls.

Then you will add the egg and flour. Mix everything together until you have a dough.

If it’s too sticky add 2 more Tablespoons of flour.

After the dough forms, mix in the shredded cheese.

Use your hands to form small balls of cheesy potato dough. (This could be a task to delegate to your children!)

Place the potato balls in a baking tray and drizzle some olive oil.

Pop them into the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Scrumptious baked cheesy potato bombs are ready to be eaten as a savory side dish or for a party appetizer. This recipe is easy to make!
