The temperature is heating up around here, so I put together a collection of popsicle recipes as part of a compensated campaign for Foodie.com.

After such a brutally cold winter, warm weather is welcome around here…but only if the humidity stays away! One treat I’ve always liked in the summer is a popsicle. The way they frost over with steam rolling off as the warm air wraps around the frozen goodness. Or getting my tongue or lip stuck to the side of it. (You’ve done it too, right?) Food on sticks are fun.
Last year, I tried to make homemade frozen treats with my daughter, but we messed up. They never froze solid enough. Rissa still enjoyed them, but I’m determined to make better ones this year. Plus, to keep me in line with my weight loss goals, I probably should grab fresh fruit popsicles more often than a scoop or two of ice cream. I am looking forward to trying one of the “adult” popsicles for a twist on a girls night in drink.
What’s your favorite frozen treat?
