Merry Fluffy Christmas giveaway is going on now through December 5th. Enter for your chance to win our prize pack that includes one of these!
I think you all know that one of my favorite things to review are cloth diapers! There are just so many styles and brands out there and Rissa looks so cute with her fluffy butt. I think you’ll be excited about the reusable diaper I have to share with you today because it is VERY affordable. We love affordable diapers that work!
My very first pieces to build our stash were ordered from Diaper Junction. I was impressed with their super speedy shipping and still am. They also have Stash Dollars that you can earn from ordering there and they have a blog with cloth info and giveaways. They carry an array of popular diaper brands and even offer a trial period for those just starting out.
I recently discovered a brand exclusive to Diaper Junction: Diaper Rite.
The Diaper Rite cloth diapers cost less than $10. While the price made me giddy, it also made me a little suspicious. Could they be as good as the more expensive diapers? I had to try it! With 18 colors to choose from, I went with Timberwolf. How often do you see a gray diaper? I think it’s a fantastic neutral color to include in one’s stash.
Diaper Rite Features:
- Pocket diaper
- TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)Outer
- Suedecloth inner to provide that “stay dry” feeling
- 2 (3 layer) Microfiber Inserts; 1 smal & 1 large
- Durable snap closures
- Hip snaps
- Cross over snaps (great for skinny minnies!)
- Adjustable from 8 – 35 lbs
I found this diaper to work as well as our others. It’s pretty trim, even with 2 inserts. We haven’t had any leaks, the snaps adjust well around her thin waist and thighs. I didn’t fully prep the inserts before first use and we still didn’t have any leaks. Rissa has become a heavier wetter so I wasn’t sure if using them after only ONE washing would be a good idea or not. But, these are pretty absorbent.
Laundry is comparable to our other diapers. It really works well in comparison, but the cost is lower. Usually when the cost is this low, you only get one insert, so I LOVE that you get two. The pockets are wide enough for dads to stuff, but real big hands might have trouble in the tunnel. As long as these can last as long as our other diapers, I will be a super happy camper!
At less than $10 per diaper, these are a very affordable option to families looking to make the switch but concerned about start up costs. I wouldn’t suggest only buying these since I think all stashes should have some variety, but they definitely would get someone started for a reasonable price. Heck, I wish I could have bought these when we started! I’m also excited because I see Diaper Rite has a bamboo diaper for less than $12!
Have you tried Diaper Rite diapers? Do you find your favorites are pricey diapers or less expensive ones?
