Do you ever get frustrated back to school clothes shopping for your kids? I do!
The kids grow fast and play hard, so I prefer buying kids clothing that is good quality, affordable, and stylish. Although my kids have opinions about what they prefer to wear, they are young enough that I am able to do the majority of our back to school clothes shopping myself.
Now that we’ve shopped at Oshkosh B’gosh a few times, I have a better idea of how their clothing sizes fit both my son and daughter.
I am not working with Oshkosh B’gosh, I just love shopping through them for our kids’ clothes. This post does contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you make a purchase.
Stylish Back to School Kids Clothes From Oshkosh B’Gosh
Back to School Clothing Haul
I did the majority of our back to school clothes shopping at Oshkosh B’gosh online. I was more strategic in selecting tops and bottoms to mix and match. My daughter sprouted up so much over the summer that I did not want to buy too many new pairs of pants. In the video below, you can see all the items I ordered for around $150. (Yay for clearance, door busters, and coupon codes!)
In addition to showing you our clothing haul, I am also sharing outfit ideas. Below you can see my children wearing the clothing and get an idea of how it looks and fits.
Girls’ Back to School Styles
I love shopping at Oshkosh B’gosh for my daughter’s clothes and wanted to share some outfit ideas with you plus, let you see how they fit on her. It can be helpful to see how certain sizes fit on someone, especially when ordering kids clothes online.
I ordered all of these clothes online. These girls tops and bottoms are a mix of size 6 and 6X. To give you an idea of how the fit may compare to your daughter, my daughter is 6.5 years old in this video, about 45 inches tall, and weights around 40 pounds.
We love how well Oshkosh B’gosh leggings, yoga pants, and jeans fit on her since she often outgrows the length first. The jeans we ordered have an adjustable waist which is perfect! The length is great and gives her some room to grow without tripping over them. Without adjusting the waist, they were a tad too big, but she liked being able to pull them up and down without unsnapping them.
All of the tops we ordered mix and match pretty well with the 4 pairs of pants we bought. I love that Oshkosh B’gosh has so many great options for girls clothes that are appropriate for school and play. Plus they are cute and fashionable!
Boys’ Back to School Styles
I love the stylish clothing options for boys at Oshkosh B’gosh. These are the back to school clothes I ordered for him online. The best part is I can shop at one store for my son and my daughter!
For size and fit reference, my son is 4.5 years old in this video, around 38 inches tall and about 30 pounds. He’s slim and often outgrows the length of his pants before outgrowing the waist. We often have issues finding pants that are the right length AND fit his waist.
Two of the shirts are size 4T and one is size 5T. I don’t mind sizing up his shirts (as long as he isn’t drowning in them) in order to extend how long he wears them.
The pants are size 4T but are still too big in the waist for him. He is outgrowing the size 2T pants we previously bought from Oshkosh B’gosh, but they still look great overall. They’ve held up well after over a year of wear!
Since he still fits into a lot of his wardrobe, I didn’t order as many clothing items for him. I’m certain he will have a growth spurt within the next year or so though.
I hope my back to school clothing haul and outfit ideas for young girls and boys helps make shopping for kids clothes less frustrating. I love being able to mix and match their clothes into multiple styles and having most of my kids’ clothes last throughout the school year.
