Check out 12 Heavenly Holiday Pies

Anyone who knows me knows I love sweets. They are definitely my weakness. And even though I tend to prefer cake over pie, there are some very, very delicious pie options for dessert. Plus, pie just seems to fit Thanksgiving better than cake, don’t you think? I don’t really know why, but they just go together perfectly. (I might stretch the definition of pie a bit at times, but your tastebuds will thank you.
You all know I love Halloween, but Thanksgiving is a close second, I think. Food and family – there’s nothing better. Growing up we’d all gather at my grandmother’s house, playing cards, chatting, watching football, and eating. The best were the all day graze-fests. My eyes were always bigger than my stomach. I can’t resist the classics, but it’s nice to have something that’s not offered often. (That goes for non-desserts, too!) Mmm, maybe I’ll skip the turkey and stuffing and just head straight for the dessert table this year…
Okay, so that’s probably not the best plan, but it’s why I like the bite-sized servings. It makes it easier to sample more and with less guilt!
Pumpkin and Pecan Pie are clear classic favorites of mine, but I can’t wait to try a few delicious variations. What’s your favorite holiday pie?
