How to Make a Cute Tissue Paper Frog Face Craft

Encourage children to enhance their scissor skills by cutting or tearing green tissue paper into small squares. To begin, apply adhesive to the plate in sections, allowing your child to place the green squares until the paper plate is fully covered.

Next, fashion a crown from yellow paper and carve out a mouth shape using black paper. Use red or pink paper for heart shapes to accent the hopper’s cheeks.

For the eyes, cut out large circles from white construction paper and smaller black circles for the pupils. Then assemble the eyes by affixing the black circles onto the center of the white circles with glue.

Next, attach the mouth and cheeks to the frog plate by applying glue to their backs and gently pressing them onto the plate. For the eyes, dab a small amount of glue on the bottom of their backs and position them at the top of the plate.

Lastly, secure the crown by placing a small dab of glue on its bottom front and attaching it to the back of the paper plate, completing your frog masterpiece.

Tips for Making This Project

To create this charming craft, use disappearing purple glue sticks to help your child see exactly where to place the squares. To make symmetrical hearts, crowns, and mouth cutouts, fold the construction paper in half before cutting.

Feel free to decorate the crown before attaching it to your craft for extra creativity. For the eyes, trace around a smaller glass for a perfect white circle and a quarter for the precise black circle.

Large and small paper plates can be used depending on your preferred size. Want a more traditional amphibian look? Omit the crown and heart cheeks.
