I’ve done some silly and stupid things in my life that I wish I could do-over. At the time my choices seemed fine, but looking back… What was I thinking?! I think most of them are from my high school years with a handful from my college days.
One of my most memorable do-over moments comes with pictures for proof. In high school I began having a lot of fun with hair color. It wasn’t uncommon for classmates to take bets about what color I’d be sporting next. I still color my hair now, but I’m not quite as… experimental. And I (usually) go to the salon instead of doing it myself. But that’s the adult me…
The teenage me was having fun and thought I was pretty cool… Until I decided to go blonde.
My natural hair color is a very dark auburn – almost black. My desire to try on blonde hair started innocently enough with dirty blonde streaks. Except I did the streaks all out from my part so when I pulled my hair back I had a stripe…earning me the nickname Skunk.
Overall I liked my streaks so I decided to bleach ALL of my hair. It took a couple applications to achieve yellow blonde hair without light brown streaks and spots. It looked kinda cool the first day.
But then our gym class started the swimming unit. The chlorine thankfully did not turn my hair green, but it did turn it this bright orange. Skunk became SunBurst. This was also right around my Junior Prom…
Oh how I cringe at the pictures of my dark roots growing out and contrasting with my orange hair. I wish I could get a do-over … at least on the timing! I probably still would have tried bleaching it, but not so close to prom and NOT when I’d be getting into the pool.
What’s your do-over moment?
Do you hate rewashing dishes? That’s another do-over for me that happens more often than I’d like…
The Frigidaire Gallery™Dishwasher gets dishes fully cleaned the first time, so there are no dish do-overs. Nearly half of adults admit to re-washing and/or re-drying dishes after the dishwasher cycle has been completed. To prevent dishwasher do-overs, Frigidaire® is stepping in with its new Gallery® Dishwasher featuring the OrbitCleanTM Wash Arm, ensuring dishes are cleaned right the first time.

I highlighted my dark hair once... Once being the key word here. It's something that will never do again!
Thankfully we can fix it when we experiment! Or just let the hair stylist talk us out of it!

Now I trust my hair color to my stylist but in high school I did it myself at home...no wonder I had a few mishaps lol

My cousin recently had an experience like Jai! Not fun for her...
I think I've actually had my hair that color and many other colors that didn't turn out right.

My Fiancee experiments with her hair color often so this was funny for me to read. I remember her trying really hard to bleach out her previous color (bright red I believe) and being a little too aggressive with it. It ended in her hair beginning to fall out and me rushing her to a salon to salvage what we could. Personally, I thought her new slightly-orange pixie cut looked cute too but she wasn't so big on it. :D

Oh no! Thankfully my hair didn't fa out, but it did get very dry and almost straw like in texture - not good! A pixie cut is better than patchy baldness lol

I'd like to do over my 1969 marriage. I was very young and did not understand abuse. I'd listen to my best friend and not get married to this guy. Took me 4 years but I finally got out.
