Several weeks ago, I shared about how my 4 year-old daughter had a really sweet gift idea for her Daddy for Father’s Day. We’ve been dancing our way through summer at Tosa Tonight, Sunset Safari, and Summer Sounds. Next, we headed to Waukesha for their Friday Night Live event.
Friday Night Live occurs every Friday through October in Downtown Waukesha near where they set up their Farmer’s Markets. They close off the streets to traffic for several blocks and nine bands set up throughout the area. All the shops appeared to be open for purchasing anything from antiques to coffee. The restaurants (and bars) were open to diners too.
Artisans and performers set up in the streets to paint large creations of celebrities and perform what appeared to be aerial yoga on a fabric trapeze.
It was certainly entertaining and fun to watch!
We walked from one band to the next until we found a band playing classic rock…
And danced!
To Mustang Sally…
My Girl…
And more classics.
This was such a enjoyable family-friendly event with lots of music and lots of dancing. And, simply, just a lot of fun to be had by everyone.
