These free printable thank you plant tags make the perfect Teacher Appreciation Week or end of the school year teacher gift.
They are easy to make, use just a few common craft supplies and only take about 5 minutes.
I love this craft because it’s so simple to assemble and the tags work for nearly any potted plant.
We used these tags in tomato plants hoping that our favorite teachers could enjoy fresh tomatoes all summer long!

This is a simple and fun activity to do at home with your kids and then to add to a plant of your choice.
These plant themed thank you tags are a really nice way to express gratitude for a teacher, family member, or friend.
Two different designs are included in our free printable set. One says “Thank you for helping me grow!” and the other is a cute tomato pun: “Thank you, from my head to-ma-toes.”
There are four tags on each 8.5 by 11 inch page (US Letter) for a total of eight gift tags.
Preschoolers and kindergartners can practice their fine motor skills by helping cut the tags out and/or by attaching the tags to the popsicle sticks.
Elementary age children will be able to do this craft mostly independently. They can practice their cutting and gluing skills.

I recommend using adhesive dots for a quicker project with no drying time.
However, If you do not have adhesive dots, liquid glue works just as well. Just be sure to let it fully dry before adding the sticks into the soil.
You can make this project extra special by taking a trip to your local store, nursery or farmer’s market and having the kids pick out the plants for their teachers themselves.
They can even learn about gardening and how to care for the plants so they can tell their teachers. You can also use our list of plant gifts for teachers to put together a themed gift basket.
